Plans for update 1.2


After seeing some gameplay from other ive decided that the game needs a little more work, particularly in the tutorial department.
I've noticed that the game can be pretty hard to pickup, especially if someone is not willing to push through its learning curve.
to accommodate this I've thought up some things that i think should be in a new update, here's a list on what I plan to add.

Tutorial wise:

  • Step-by-step tutorial hints in the pre-game lobby or a whole tutorial level
  • rework the main lobby to have better lighting and direction as to what to do and to be a better multiplayer lobby
  • Items and weapons in the lobby so players can get familiar with the items

Content wise:

  • new large rooms with special functions that get swapped out with each other, e.g. a reactor room that replaces Sec. Hub. on occasion
  • ? - new thermal scan item, similar to the motion scanner but marks others through walls, instead of movement.

Tweak wise:

  • ? - weapon reloads, mg-3200 is way overpowered in the right hands
  • alien AI needs tweaking to be less oblivious
  • Player alien abilities need to be more useful and it needs to be easier to locate crew mates
  • fix some rooms to be more interesting
  • add lights to more rooms and to make power-outages more prominent
