Abyss Diver - Expedition 1 - New Content & Fixes


Fixed the vast majority of major bugs and glitches, rebalanced difficulty, no more soft locks, tons of new gear, and some new hard-mode mechanics.

New Items: 

  • Tactical shotgun (An upgraded pump shotgun, supports the speed-loader attachment when loads 3 shells at a time)
  • Battle rifle (An upgraded light rifle)
  • Crossbow (Slow but powerful weapon, ammo is very scarce but can be recovered after being shot)
  • Sawed-Off (Early game shotgun, less powerful than other shotguns)
  • Extended barrel (Attachment, increased muzzle velocity and reduces spread)

Spiders: Spiders have been completely rebalanced, nests spawn less, spiders are weaker, but more agile. Overall spiders should no longer be a run-ender.

Health Updates: Divers start with one less hit point, however, medical cases can drop medkits which heal 3 hp. Syringes can contribute to a new system called "Overhealing", when full health picking up a syringes adds 1 overheal, gaining 4 overheal increases a divers max hp by 1.

QOL Changes: Hovering over dice shows more info about the dice type itself and hides the ui on the face to allow viewing of the tile's layout.

Changes

  • Slowed difficulty scaling
  • Disabled enemies on the first level
  • Reduced Spider Cluster spawn rate
  • Reduced Spider Nest spawn rate
  • Spiders dodge less, follows player more loosely
  • Spiders have less health
  • Chest loot is now generated on open rather than on spawn
  • Upgrade cases can now spawn an extra upgrade on occasion
  • Popup texts have an animation
  • Increased time between day and night
  • Totems now display text indicating difficulty increase
  • Player most now be on a tile for longer than a second to set as spawn
  • Updated tutorial texts
  • Increased invincibility time after taking damage
  • Buffed Magnum damage per-level
  • Increased Crate spawn-rate
  • Cursor has a shadow
  • Reduced player starting health to 3
  • Changed icon color of crystals
